My hubby and I had a very productive discussion last night. We met for dinner and just being alone with him made me feel like we were back on our honeymoon!
We decided to focus this talk around the "Newlywed Financial Bootcamp" from the Motley Fool website. Basically, we set up a list of our goals, without worrying about how crazy they may seem. Then, we selected our top goals and gave ourselves a couple of "first steps" towards achieving them.
So, our top goals are:
He'd like to take up one of the martial arts. He already is a black belt in karate.

- Buy a home in a decent neighborhood, so our son can get a good public school education
- Make his law practice more successful
- Get in shape
- Gather bills so we can work out a budget
- Fill out the charter school paperwork, in case we can't be in a new home before September
- Write the text for the landing page for his professional website
